Negative Armor Values in the Thousands

I'm playing a level 46 Redguard with Ebony/unique armor, and all of a sudden, skeletons are able to kill me with two arrows. Sure enough, my armor value is -1037 (even worse after taking off my armor).

This is game-breaking. I can't go anywhere without getting slaughtered, and since enemies level with my level, dungeon crawling is frustrating.

As far as mods go, I have Deadly Combat, Crimson Tide, SkyUI, and Realms of the Daedra installed. I used to have a few player houses and Wars in Skyrim installed, but uninstalled them a while back.

Is there anyone who's had a similar problem, and is there some console or other fix? I'd hate to have to restart a game that's so far along.

Did you find a solution to this? I have a character that is showing negative 4500 base armor. When armor pieces are equipped, the negative value decreases, but it's still no good. I can't find any console commands that alter character base armor. Anyone can help with this? Thanks.

just incase somebody else gets this. I tried "player.setav damageresist XXXX" but it didnt work, however "player.modav damageresist XXXX" did work.

This is the solution I use on companions with UFO (if they get caught in your Mark of Death shout, they permanently take a penalty). Strip off your armor first, just to make sure it's not something on that end, then change that to zero?
