KokoM Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I was told that there was a tutorial contained inside the Creation Kit, I would like to know how to access it, so that I may begin to learn how to do some of the amazing things that I've seen/downloaded/used on Nexus. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.
amycus Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 (edited) I think you are talking about this site? Its basically a wiki that was written during the beta testing of the creation kit as far as I know:http://www.creationkit.com/ Good luck  EDIT: After you have taken a look there, you might also want to take a look on the nexus own wiki of tutorials:http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Main_Page Edited April 4, 2012 by amycus
BeastlyBeast Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I don't think theres a tutorial you can access through the creation kit, but Bethesda posted a tutorial that they made themselves online. I'll post the link to the dungeon making one. :) http://www.creationkit.com/Bethesda_Tutorial_Layout_Part_1 There are also video tutorials. They usually follow the Bethesda tutorials, but some are completely unrelated to them. Here's one that follows the Bethesda tutorial on creating an NPC.
KokoM Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 I'm so confused... I remember there being an "interactive" tutorial somewhere... does anyone know what I'm referring to? There's a lot of people who have talked about using "The Creation Kit Tutorial" to make the various mods... That's what I'm wanting.
Werne Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I'm so confused... I remember there being an "interactive" tutorial somewhere... does anyone know what I'm referring to? There's a lot of people who have talked about using "The Creation Kit Tutorial" to make the various mods... That's what I'm wanting. There's no "Creation Kit Tutorial", there's only Creation Kit Wiki, Nexus Wiki and small tutorials scattered all over the internet. An interactive tutorial for CK does not exist and never did existed.
crippledorphan Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 If you go to YouTube and look for the author foradventure he has some very helpful tutorials using the ck he is really good at explaining things I'd say he has some of the beat ck tutorials he has helped me a ton kudos to foradventure I don't remember his nexus sign name hope he helps He has tutorials on just about everything in the creation kit even basic scripting
Carl S Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 When you click : Help - Contents in the Creation Kit menu , you get to Creationkit.com .It might be what they are referring to.
KokoM Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Is there anything more basic? Step by step even?
BeastlyBeast Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 (edited) The bethesda tutorials on creationkit.com are about as step-by-step as they come. IDK what you're really looking for. But, if it clears anything up, the Creation Kit is not necessarily an easy tool. Have you ever noticed that there are hundreds of people involved at the end credits? Well, think about this for a second. You're basically one person, doing the work of 200 people. Of course it's not going to be easy. Even the step by step stuff is not the easiest to follow. But, once you get used to it, it gets easier, and before you know it, you'll go from making a simple NPC to a whole complicated, versatile questline. Edited April 4, 2012 by BeastlyBeast
jet4571 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 The creation kit wiki is step by step and you couldn't get more basic than it is.
