Zazoomah
I wan't to retexture an existing armor in the game but i don't know how to do it because i can't find any tutorials. Can someone show me a link to one?
prodigium
If the armor is added by an .esp, just find the texture (ArmorName.dds) in your FNV's Data/textures/ folder and edit it. If you want to replace a vanilla texture you have to extract the texture from the .bsa, and copy the file(s) into your Data folder with the exact same file structure, and then edit the texture. rotarydanimal
"photoshop" will edit the .DDS files. I believe "paint.net" will do it too, and its free! Edit: You can extract the files from the .BSA with "BSA Commander" ----- http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3311 here is a tutorial: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/How_to_extract_BSA_files_using_BSA_Commander Edited April 6, 2012 by rotarydanimal
prodigium
You can edit the .dds with GIMP, you just need the .dds plugin: http://code.google.com/p/gimp-dds/downloads/detail?name=gimp-dds-win32-2.0.9.zip And FOMM has a a built-in BSA Browser you can use to extract the files, but any similar program works.
