Audio cache disable - improved stability

I am running Fallout 3 on 64-bit Win 7. I did all the usual tweaks found on forums and still had crashes. Perhaps once in 2 hours. I had an impression that crashes were related to audio. A major improvement was when I disabled audio cache. Now Fallout 3 is as stable as it was on 32-bit Windows XP.

To disable audio cache one needs to edit Fallout.ini and set:

bEnableAudioCache=0

It is under [Audio] section.

My computer has Realtek (Azalia) onboard audio, which is quite common these days. Some other audio hardware might perform differently.

Hope this helps.
