-------------------------------------------------------

here is another example...

-------------------------------------------------------

Access is denied

-------------------------------------------------------

or this...

-------------------------------------------------------

The system cannot find the path specified

i used to be able to extract mods without a problem, then these errors come out of nowhere, and i don't know what to do, please help :wallbash:

Winrar is a for pay program with a free trial period. Is it possible your free trial expired? I'm not sure if anything happens when the trial expires or not. You could try re downloading Winrar or...

Try 7-zip. it really is free and never expires. available on tesnexus here

It sounds like you are getting corrupted downloads.

More info needed. What operating system, XP or Vista?

System info: Mother board, processor & speed, amount of RAM, video card, amount of video RAM, Size of Hard drive, audio card and any other info about your system -

a DXDiag listing would be good - google dxdiag for instructions

If you don't know any of this, give us your computer manufacturer and model number, plus any upgrades you have installed.

Have you defragged your hard drive lately? How much free space?

What size is your page file?

Well, if the files are coruupted, there is nothing i can do because there are no mirrors for midas spells 0.960

I am using windows Vista Home Premium (build 6000)

Computer: ACPI x86-based PC

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS (512 MB RAM)

Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU @ 2.4Ghz each (4x)

RAM: 3070 MB

System Type: 32 bit-Operating system

Hard Drive space: (289 GB, 128 GB free) (298 GB, 295 free) *there are two hard drives i guess, thats what it says*

Sound Card: Realtek High Definition version 6.0

Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard Company

Model #: m8120n

no upgrades

File Size: 54.9 MB

I can't find info about my motherboard

I don't even know how to defrag a hard drive so i'm guessing no

Like i said before, I have downloaded mods like this and they still work fine, so i don't think that my hardware is the cause

that's all the info i could get, so i'll leave the rest up to u! ty for helping

Your hardware looks fine.

Be sure you have UAC turned off on a Vista system.

It only takes one small error to completely glitch some downloads.

Try saving to a folder and extracting the mod inside the folder not directly into your data folder. Then read the readme that should be included to see if there are any special install instructions.

I use Winrar, and the way I do it is I download the file to a folder reserved for downloads, then when I boot Winrar I use the Wizard button and designate the target folder.

If you're getting corrupted downloads, Dark0ne suggests you switch to a different server. I've had good success with the London server.
