MidnightVoyager
So I was converting an outfit from CBBE to Vanilla. My skin looks way messed up in Bodyslide, like this: https://i.imgur.com/g6qmYKQ.png Ingame, it looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/UBtdee1.png The skin is fine for vanilla outfits in Bodyslide, but this one is CBBE only. I assume that's what's going wrong here, but how do I fix it?
Perraine
AFAIK the "vanilla" body in BS/OS is just an "approximation" of the vanilla body mesh, so that you can shape the outfit around it. You'll probably have to swap out a vanilla body mesh instead of the cbbe one, once you've done editing, so that the UV map for the skin texture lines up correctly. MidnightVoyager
I don't have CBBE at all. How would I go about doing that? None of the tutorials I've found are done this way around, and none of them really have anything like this in them.
Perraine
In Outfit Studio, load up the mesh, delete the the body, then load in the vanilla body mesh. That will put the vanilla body (with the vanilla UV map) into the outfit. You should really have CBBE installed though, as it resolves all of these problems. And I'm not interested in installing a body mod for one outfit that I might not even wear myself.

I understand, if you are happy with the vanilla body, that's no problem (personally, I thought it was fine as well) but ... With the huge number of outfit choices, plus the truly amazingly real skin textures available for CBBE, it was really hard not to install it. I don't use any of the stupid options to make ridiculous bodies, just the default body, ( with a tiny bit more muscle tone than vanilla) but it uses the CBBE UV map for the skin, so I can use much better skin textures (plus the feet and hand meshes look way better than vanilla)
somethingbrite
CBBE is much more than just "a body mod" and the wealth of cool outfits and mashups that it opens up makes it really worth it for me.
SirTwist
This looks like trying to use Bodyslide without a body mod. You can use CBBE or Atomic Beauty. Use only one, though. You might find it works well with what you are trying to do. You could, of course, use something else to create your outfit, port it into the game, if you want. There are other things out there than Bodyslide, and you might not get the weird textures. There will, probably, be a learning curve to using other things. MidnightVoyager
I never notice the hands or feet as needing improvement, don't care about skin textures or the UV, and the CBBE outfits are 99% outfits you could not pay me to wear. I'm bothered enough by the heels on this outfit that I'm unlikely to wear it anyway, but I wanted to figure out what went wrong for future reference. Seriously, I'm good. Importing in the right body fixed it. Thanks.
