DrIstvaan
I know there is a chance for this bug with characters "not having greeting" after the player goes to the Shivering Isles. BUT, I've never stepped on these realms yet (I only have the plug-in installed, but haven't ever even gone in the vicinity of that gate). Yet, I encounter this annoyance. An other interesting fact is (well, maybe), that this problems seem selective; most NPCs (traders, beggars, charmed bandits etc.) show this symptom, while others (such as guards) not.First, I thought some mods are responsible for this, and went on de-activating and deleting those which I installed not much before the problem first appeared, but it had no positive effect.Does anybody have any idea what could have caused this in my case? WoogieMonster
Just go walk through the Strange Door, that should fix it. You don't have to do anything when you arrive in SI, just turn around and walk back to Cyrodiil.
DrIstvaan
Thank you, I'll try.
billypnats
if that still doesn't work, wait in shivering isles for 24 hours (in game -.-) and come back
DrIstvaan
I've tried both, but none seems to have solved the problem... It seems it is a particular one.
billypnats
ok then....wait 24 hours, sleep 24 hours, in shivering isles. Go through the door, teleport to testinghall wait 24 hours, go back to SI, w8 24 hours and come back
DrIstvaan
Do you mean I should wait for 24 hours in the Isles and then sleep 24 hours, or do you mean I may either wait or sleep? Then, I exit the Shivering Isles through the door, COC to testinghall, wait 24 hours, go to Hawkhaven, fast-travel to the Strange door, go through it, wait for 24 hours and then I come back to Tamriel. Is that correct so?Also, does the Fring count as Shivering Isles in this regard or only the "Realm proper"?By the way, thank you for your patience and time. DrIstvaan
Well, I've finally solved the problem! It seems that a seemingly innocent plug-in was responsible for it; one named Hell on Earth. It doesn't seem very suspicious, because all it does is placing a new fort ruin (filled with undead) in Southern Cyrodiil. Maybe it messed up something with the Nibenay Basin which caused the malfunction.Anyway, I'm grateful for trying to help me, to both of you.
