EdenGallant
Hello Forum Members, First of all, im sorry for my English, it is not perfect. I playing skyrim 3 weeks already and i bought all the houses in the game except then 1, the Markarth house, I became a thane, i brought the Yarl his father's shield and i did all the bountied already, but nothing helps, i tried the command "setstage favor250 20/15/10" and nothing works, i tried to wait 30 days and to do again the bounty missions and it wont help because the Forsworn leader wont respawn and "setstage favor151 20" wont work. i tried also to unlock the house but it is not helping, I became thane with command "setstage 250 20" because in the start i didnt want to purchase the house, i helped 5 people... but now the commend didnt work anymore and i wanna buy this house! Please i tried everything that i saw in the internet, it doesn't work, any ideas or help ? Thanks you !
David Brasher
If it is a matter of just wanting to sleep in the house, you can use the console code to unlock the door, then you should be free to sleep there and store your gear there. But I imagine that you are wanting to furnish the house and have a housecarl and a spouse and all that stuff. It seems that there would be some combination of console codes you would be able to use to get things back on track. You would have to spend a lot of time in the CK examining all the Papyrus scripting to see what happens as a result of various dialog infos and quest stages. Sometimes such commands cannot be translated into console codes. Depending on how things fell out, you may have to use a dozen console codes to get the results you desire. It might be easier for you to build a corrupt savegame bugfix mod which turns ownership of the house over to you and furnishes it with all the improvements at once. David Brasher
You are not the first person that has had a problem like this. Skyrim is just really buggy and it is aggravating. So I got ticked of at Bethesda and built this mod: Houses Free and Furnished. It is basically the nuclear option. Just give up on neatness and elegance and totally stomp on the problem with vastly overwhelming force in spite of possible consequences. This mod, upon activation, gives you all of the houses and all the upgraded furniture in them so you and your spouse can just move right in. If you were to build a bugfix mod, it would look sort of like this. Or you could use this mod like it is, or you could use part of it and cut out all the parts relating to all the houses except for the one in Markarth.
