Tomoxx02
It started happening some days ago, I have around 70 pluginsSometimes I quicksave, and while the message appears, the game freezes and I gotta use task manager. Also sometimes when I leave a cell the whole screen turns black, I can hear some of the noise but I think it's not all of it and I cant do anything, task manager aswell. The last 3 times have been in Ivarstead inn, leaving Dragonsreach and the last one leaving grey-something house in Whiterun This is my mod listBut I currently have Battle aftermath, travellers of skyrim, populated cities, NPCs travel and darker nights disabled. I thought it would be a problem with those mods that add NPCs and are some of the last mods I have installed

I would say your gamesave, even if it's a quicksave, seems to be corrupt and I suggest that you go back to an earlier gamesave, one you know for sure that's working. When you installed those mods, did you create a normal save or did you just quicksave your game? Also, are you still have those mods active or have you uninstalled them? If you just quicksave your game then you need to go back to an earlier normal save, otherwise odd things will happen in-game if you continue playing. Tomoxx02
The "Quicksaving..." message appears and the game freezes Which program can detect a "corrupt" save and maybe even clean it? I use all type of saves, the thing is that these problems happen randomly and the freezing has actually happened while saving from menu aswell, but like only 1 or 2 times.I have no problems when loading, at all. I have disabled and enabled mods but they don't make any difference.
Waterlily78
This is a known problem with PC Head Tracking, which I see you have installed. In the MCM menu for PC Head Tracking, do you have "Crosshair" or "Speaker" selected for detection? There is apparently a problem with Speaker (or Crosshair+Speaker together) messing with SKSE when you save. If you have Speaker or Crosshair+Speaker selected, try setting it to Crosshair only, or disable the head tracking altogether and see if you still have a freeze problem on saving. Tomoxx02
Thanks for the help, I don't really know if disabling the Speaker detection for PC Head Tracking helped but somehow I haven't gotten these problems. I did crashed to the main menu after playing some hours though lol
Waterlily78
There's a pretty long thread about the problem in the Bugs section of PCHT's Nexus page. Some people found that apparently with Speaker detection on, especially when you're in an NPC-heavy place like Dragonsreach or one of the inns, your character kind of swivel-heads trying to look in the direction of all of the conversations around it, and this seems to overload the scripts when you try to save, causing a freeze. They're trying to find some solution for this, but for now it's best to just keep it in Crosshair mode. I haven't had a single save freeze since I switched it back, either. So now hopefully that fixes the issue and you actually can enjoy your visit to Dragonsreach. Heh, I get the crashes after playing too long, too. I remember from Oldrim that if you play more than a few hours you're supposed to save, shut off the game and then reboot your computer, but I rarely remember to do it!
