Stormrage
Hi! Could these things be done in a mod? :) 1.Start in a different city for each race? - I think I saw this somewhere. 2.Just one one race can wear certian clothes and armour? For intance, only Altmer can wear Elven Armour. 3.Change your appearance when you join a guild, and bring it back (perhaps after some time) when you leave it? Like joining a monastic order that requires you to shave your head. 4.Joining a guild temporarily changes your stats, until youl leave it? Like - 40 Personality because everyone is affraid of that guild. 5.Joining a guild forces you to use only a certain type of weapon? 6.Multiple paths to end a quest. Like - A)Gather artefacts, give them to NPC`s to open portal to kill the bad guy. B)Gather artefacts give them to some other NPC`s, open portal, kill the bad guy.C)same thing, but with a 3rd set of NPCs? Also, could the quests to gather the same artefacts come from different NPCs? I think this is possible, I just need confirmation, I am a bit rusty. 7.Different movie playing after completing the main quest, dependant on your race and the path you chose? 8.Better reward if your character belongs to a certain race? 9.Limit abilities to Classes? i.e. a Warrior cannot use magic at all. Or a Healer cannot use Destruction. 10.If you use magic in towns and the guards see you, you get a huge bounty and they try to arrest you (you can show them your guild papers and they let you go). Something like if you are a witch in medieval Europe? Magic is not common in my mod. 11.Some races attack you on sight (or run if they think they cannot handle it). Vagrant0
1. Yes, but might interfere with the main quest. 2. Yes, but would have to be specially scripted for that race. For the most part, this doesn't work too well with how normal armor is setup, and how most people play without much regard for race. 3. Not really. The closest you could get is forcing the player to wear something like a wig in the case provided. There is no other way to force a specific appearance. 4. Yes, but since most guilds only work one way, and stat bonuses would interfere with normal leveling, it probably isn't recommended. 5. Not really. Any sort of scripting would have to either force a specific item, or check for specific items. Given the already limited range, this is more easily done by personal choice, or using idea 4 in a negative manner for a specific weapon skill. 6. Yes, but requires new quests since the people at Bethsoft were lazy. It does however require more effort to be spent on making the quest since you have to kinda guess how people will complete it. 7. No, would require producing seperate movies, and probably couldn't be done by any modder. 8. Yes, but again, would require changing vanilla quests, or designing quests which worked like that. Generally, given the rarity of good quest mods, something like that might be seen as a letdown for anyone who isn't that race. 9. Yes, but would depend largly on lowering those abilities for those classes. Just like in reality, there is no way to force someone to be totally unable to hold a sword, or wear armor. They just may not be very good at knowing how to use it. Given that most classes are hybrids, and much of the game is based around making use of all the skills, this sort of thing is really only practical within a Total conversion. 10. Yes, but more of a TC kinda thing. Requires quite a bit of specific scripting, would really become an annoyance within the main game... Saving kvatch, getting fined and attacked by the guards you're helping because you needed to use a heal spell on yourself, or one of them. Or even random stuff along roads. 11. Yes, but tends to cause significant issues in the long run. It isn't that NPCs will just attack you, anyone who is friendly to them will attack you too, guards will attack them, before long half the town is either dead, or has run off somewhere. *Essentially anything race based won't work with custom races. Stormrage
But I am talking about a total conversion :) It has nothing to do with Tamriel, really. Its about the Warhammer World. So if you go to a human town playing as a beastman character, you will not survive for long.. If you use a spell and are not a certified mage, you will going to burn.. I need to know what I can and can not do, before I start this thing..
