Cerebralrhyme
I want to play DUST becuse it seems really fun. But the thing is that i have many mods already that my save file basically is dependant of them and i dont want to delete all of them. So i need to know if i can have two copies of New Vegas in wich one i have my main game and in the other one is a DUST gameplay. If so, can you teel me how its done? dubiousintent
Basic theory is you have your mods in the "Data" folder and it's subfolders, and your "save game" files in your "Users" folder (where the Fallout.ini and FalloutPrefs.ini files are located). So just have to have one set of folders for DUST (e.g. "DustData" and "DustSaves") and one set for FNV (e.g. "FNVData" and "FNVSaves"). By renaming each "set of folders" to the "original" folder names (e.g. "Data" and "Saves"), you switch between games. How easy this is to implement depends upon your mod manager. As both NMM and "Mod Organizer" work from the concept of an "empty Data folder" until a "profile" is selected, you should be able to just set up different "profiles" for each game. With something like Wrye Flash or FOMM, which work from a "populated Data folder", you would use a batch file to handle the renaming to keep the folders in sync. Whichever "game version" folder is empty is the one currently in use with the original folder names. -Dubious-
