Vortikai Posted February 18, 2018 Share Posted February 18, 2018 Hi, I have a mod on the Creation Club (as there already is one on the Nexus by someone else, though for different times) that makes Halloween and Christmas decorations be enabled for the entire month plus week after the respective holidays. I haven't tested with Christmas yet, but with Halloween, when I go into Valentine's agency or Publick Occurances, then go back into Diamond City, NPCs and myself begin to take slivers of damage constantly. I specifically get damage right around where the EnableMarker for the Halloween event is in DiamondCityOrigin (World Space is DiamondCity). It's miniscule, but adds up quickly for NPCs who don't regen at a fast rate, like guards. Googling online, I found out that sometimes NPCs die from the damage. Extended Diamond City Holidays, a mod by someone else on the Nexus, has people reporting the issue in its comment section as well, though the comments were made after the latest update and no response from its author, so I don't think he/she found anything either. My mod (apparently EDCH does the same) simply changes the handler script to make the holiday events trigger at different times. By default, the markers for Halloween and Christmas are disabled if not on the 31st or 25th, respectively, and enabled if they are. My script makes it to where they are enabled in a date range, elseif disabled...so I don't add or change anything else, but Google is showing it happens in vanilla on those dates anyway. I'm not familiar with those script but surely you would have saw some obvious effect if there is one (like mgef or something) I have an ongoing g issue myself, can't seem to solve it. Folks at Somerville place constantly take damage, die and get up again because they are protected. Nothing I can do can fix it. Happened after an attack I think, but neither resetting the actors, or triggering another attack can fix it. The damage is like bleeding or poison at a reasonably fast rate. Apart from console commands, I haven't looked much further beyond, too busy with other things. But it's a pita for sure. Wonder if it's the same damn issue. I just went five weeks of December Christmas holiday decorations enabled playing the game normally, entering and leaving Diamond City buildings, and nothing. When Halloween comes around, it'll probably start up again (haven't tested this using console commands to set the date yet). Head scratcher and quite annoying. Do any of the DLCs modify Diamond City? Edit: The holiday markers are the same. The difference is the timing. The player starts a week or so before Halloween, and the Halloween marker has "Initially Disabled" check like the Christmas one (despite being enabled because my mod makes it the entire month of October). I don't think that's the problem, but trying to think of differences between the two holidays and why Christmas doesn't cause any problems at all.
