Aimekat
If anyone else has played this legendary game, then they'd know how awesome it would be to run through those castles Oblivion Style. Everything would have to be custom and original, so there's no copyright issues, just emulation. This would be a huge undertaking. building it would be one thing, then adding some or all of the weapons/armor would be quite another. i don't know about custom monster design, but that could be something too. this mod would probably need a team. anyway. just throwin' it out there. dra6o0n
Well, making a dungeon like that shouldn't be too hard, but its the modeling, texturing, and new monsters that takes up most of it. And heck you can't even add the 'vampire killer' Whip in it, because Oblivion can't support those weapon models. You'd definitely need some throwing weapons though, as in castlevania, most enemies damage you on contact and doesn't seem to chase you or either shoots at you. Maybe someone can remake the zombies to look like those zombies that appears out of the ground and start attacking? But yea, I'm using ideas from modern Castlevania. It was interesting to add guns in the newer games, and im looking forward to the new ds castlevania game where a woman is your main character. EDIT: Your gonna have to do a total conversion to make it more immersive for boss battles, as it is very lame to have a human or monster running up to you to attack, making it very repetitive... I ask that someone makes or gives the mobs better AI so they can launch custom spells and attacks. EDIT2: For example, wolves should run around you before trying to launch an attack, preferably on your back. EDIT3: Finally, can armor and weapons have special stats according to the names, etc.? Like an armor that takes away 10% of your health per hit. Shoes that makes you run faster, etc.The reason for this is to make it more immersive, and take away the vanilla oblivion stuff. This means 100% of castlevania armors and weapons should have to be modified or custom created. The modify part is easier, and it would be of help if people were to start making seperate mods on armors/weapons/items based on castlevania. Note: for items, try making it so potions, and food are limited, so the gameplay wouldn't be cheap with repetitive healing.
Aimekat
And heck you can't even add the 'vampire killer' Whip in it, because Oblivion can't support those weapon models. I agree with everything you said, except Alucard doesn't use the vampire killer, or any other whips. he uses mostly swords, and a few rods n' club's n' things. So that's not really an issue. heh... i'm talkin' about a very specific castlevania, not just general castlevania-type stuff. but it's cool you're at least one person workin' on something related. if more people joined up, i think it could work. i'd do my part too, limited as it would be.
