Dragon Flight Trajectory Mod

Hi to all members of Skyrim Nexus!

I'm new to this site and completely stunned by the level of the organization of this community! The great community of the great game)

I would like to know weather I am alone in some concerns.

So, there is one thing that bugged me every time I encountered a dragon - that is how it turns in the air.

Here is a video (not mine), which is a good illustration of it:

To my mind the turning should be smoother.

Thinking of this idea, one comparison came to mind. There is another great game called Empire: Total War. One (or one group) of the mod makers of that game created a mod that altered the behavior of ships in naval battles. The ships moved, turned, accelerated much slower and it did change the gameplay. The battles took much longer, however it brought even more glory and epic to them (both battles and ships).

The same is here. The game introduces the dragons as mighty and swift creatures of the sky. Deservedly strong, but... weightless. Based on what I see, I cannot say this huge beast relies on its wings, rather on some invisible rails or something. Disappointing( Sometimes I would like to have an opportunity just to watch the fight between a dragon and some other creatures and this single flaw (in my eyes) spoils most of the show.

So, here's what I ask

1) Don't you think the turns are too sudden?

2) If so, is it worth the efforts this hypothetical mod may require?

P. S. Unfortunately, I have zero knowledge in modding, just throwing in an idea.

Cheers!

I would support this. I think it would also add to the grace and grandeur of the creatures to be able to see them swooping and whirling in long, graceful arcs, the way their animations imply, rather than the "Oh, you're behind me! About face! Flame attack! Suck it!" that the current dragons have.

I think it would be relatively simple, elongate the time it takes to turn, and widen the turn radius. Perhaps even slow their flying speed when the just come out of a turn.

I don't know anything about Skyrim modding, so I wouldn't be able to do it, but I think it would be a welcome change to give these creatures and grace, grandeur, and menace than they should have had to begin with.
