creating a bow from scratch?

I've been using Cinema 4D and practicing with tutorials on making swords and weapons, and using Mudbox for color works and was able to make a sword or two to my liking for the game. But what I've really wanted to do was a make a bow from scratch, because personally the longbow in Skyrim, just isn't the traditional longbow to me. So if i made a bow using Cinema 4D would it be the same process or is their anything special i would have to know about trying to create a bow? o.O Edited April 8, 2012 by artistkid17

Creating bow is a little bit harder than creating other weapons, since skyrim bows hav own bones. You will have to rig your bow to specific bones. Not sure if one can rig with Cinemy 4D. If you knoe how to rig Armors, it will be really easy for you to create a bow.

what do you mean by "they have their own bones"? but i havent messed with armor yet, and i just figured if i modeled the bow from a picture, like the sword i made, if its the same concept because i've never known if there is something i have to do with the string or not, since it gets drawn back in the game?
