VilniusNastavnik Posted April 8, 2012 Share Posted April 8, 2012 (edited) Well, I recently started to CTD for no reason 1 minute after starting the game, and so i uninstalled all mods and any and all files to do with skyrim, wiped skyrim completely from my system and did a clean install meaning i wiped all my saves, all my mods, everything dumped into the trash and deleted all that is currently on my computer is skyrim vanilla with the high res texture pack on. When i start the new game i get to the point where the thief says damn you storm cloaks blah blah blah and crash right on cue every single time. once more i state that there are no mods installed the mods winRAR files i have used in the past are on an 8 gig thumbdrive in my top draw, for when this bug is fixed. if you need any more info please let me know so i can help you help me get back to enjoying the game. EDIT: Well this is awkward... I removed the high res texture pack... and it stopped crashing... However i always use the high res texture pack as it makes my water not see through... which i guess brings me to my next bug... As long as i have not got the high res texture pack on... the water is clear as if it isnt there... however with the high res texture pack on the water looks brilliant... :S i.e. water flow doesnt show up without high res texture pack on.. but if i keep crashing with the high res texture pack on.. i cant use it so any water flow on my game wont show up... and you get the picture... i recently installed a brand new driver that allows me to run skyrim on ultra high quality rather than low and it still doesnt fix this bug Edited April 8, 2012 by VilniusNastavnik Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
