Merging multiple ESPs from Same Mod

I'm reaching my mod limit (133 esps) and my games starting to freak out. Mods like Interior Lighting Overhaul and Fallout Character Overhaul have multiple esps and I was wondering if I coul merge them all together or if that would mess things up further. Also wondering about every esp in New Vegas Uncut, is that mergable? Thanks for then help!

It depends a lot upon the purpose of the multiple files for that mod. You need to check their "master files" in FNVEdit.

If they are "compatibility patches" to make the mod work with other mods, then "no". You need them to remain as separate files.

If they are optional "features" of the mod itself, then they can be merged into the parent mod.

The "uncut" mod esp files are not something I've looked into myself, but the guiding principles are the same. If they are "standalone" and do not modify other mods than their parent, then they can probably be merged.

Please see the wiki "Merged Plugin Guidelines for Personal Use" article. It covers the basic issues and processes in more depth.

Thanks for the help! I was wondering also if it would be safe to combine some quests, such as the quests in the SomeGuy series, or at least the Freeside Open patches for them. Or perhaps merging the Uncut series. Part of my thinks that I shouldnât, but Iâm curious if itâs adviseable or not.

Not quests; no. Nor plugins with scripts affecting other plugins, or with BSAs or sound files (which require the presence of the ESP with the same name). Not saying it can't be done; but it is something only a skilled mod maker should attempt. For the typical user (such as myself) it's too complex for the effort. There are usually simpler, more "standalone" mods that can be merged to get you under the cap. Weapons, armor, perks, traits, and some "fixes" to the vanilla game typically.
