VorrAkkagi
Hi all, I'm at 'wits end' here. I thought to reinstall my game to wipe out all unknown problems (have been getting serious CTDs, can't approach/enter Solitude or go to other areas, etc. etc.). So start fresh. I uninstalled Skyrim and tried to reinstall but I just get this message that "The Steam servers are too busy to handle my request. Please try again in a few minutes". This is the third day that they have been too busy. I have deleted by hand everything I can find related to Skyrim (except for my DLed Mods kept in a separate folder to reinstall later). I have even gone into the registry and removed everything that says Skyrim. So it should be as if I have never installed Skyrim now. I have also tried the 'install from CD' method suggested at: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=5357-FSQM-0382 This does not work either. It says 'Steam will now install the game' and then I get the busy signal again. I've left a 'ticket' with their support team and let them know I tried the above link method so they won't waste time on that, but no reply yet. Any ideas??? I'm getting serious Skyrim withdrawls... /me twitches
R4VE
This is maybe not a good solution, but if steam is cannot help you, maybe you can search for non steam version of Skyrim by googling instead of there is no other way.

I'm on a PC. The only non-Steam versions for PC are hacked versions, which would force me to delve into pirated software =( The other solution is to return the software, get my money back and stop buying games that require Steam overlording/big brother monitoring our systems =/
