worldofscotty
Installed any mods recently? Uncheck all mods and plugins and try again or Have steam check the integrity of the files Edited April 8, 2012 by worldofscotty
Northernx
Given : Fault Module Name: aticfx32.dll Are you using an ATI graphics card? It may be faulting or the graphics driver is corrupted. First thing I would suggest is: 1. Check to see if you have the latest drivers for your video card.2. Update if necesary, otherwise, uninstall and reinstall your current drivers. zombygeek
i had the exact same problem, my error message is identical. i checked integrity and it made me download 3 gigs of "updates". i did that, still had the problem.. i googled for some general fixes but nothing worked. i recently updated my ati drivers, but played fine immediately afterwards. i suppose i'll try again. i'll update you if it works, or doesn't work. edit: re-installed latest graphic drivers didn't work.. i guess i'll try to re-install directx, i saw someone online suggest it. i guess it's can't hurt. i'll be back. edit: nope. nothing. same problem. hopefully someone finds and answer. i'd like to play. edit: okay, got it. un-install the application profiles tool. disappointing. i liked it. Go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features then find the applications profile tool in the list. The publisher will be AMD. Click it and click uninstall. This fix worked for me too.
