Gary3
Hello, when I import the .kf-file animation into 3D Studio Max it seems that a keyframe is present for every frame of the animation. When I delete the keyframes and create my own animation with 3 keyframes, 3D Studio Max animates smoothly between these keyframes. However, when I export the animation, convert it to an hkx-file and load it in Skyrim, there is no real animation but the positions of the bones jump to each of the 3 keyframes when its time is reached, without playing the animation between the keyframes. Do I have to create a keyframe for every single frame in 3D Studio Max and how do I tell 3DSMAX to create new keyframes between the two I define? Best regards,Gary

You know, I was just searching for an answer to the same thing, and I just figured it out :) so hopefully this saves you the trouble it caused me the last few days. Yes, you have to create a keyframe for each frame, BUT do not keyframe over anything already keyed. In other words, before you edit your animation, delete all keys of ONLY the parts that you will be moving, then within that area do your autokey animation. Once your animation is set and working properly, go back through and key each frame of only the area you previously deleted the keys from, and only key the objects you were working with. XD I was keying each frame of the entire body cause it was convenient just to press period and click. period, click with everything selected, but the animation still jittered. I think it's because I was overlapping keys? Not sure, but I just got my animation to work perfect, me so happy >.< so just make sure you only key the objects and frames that you unkeyed originally. Let me know if this helps mang.
