macmert
hmmm... then what are you doing about what? You say people treat you bad so you re pissed is that it? so? I mean do you have a drivers licence? Did you ever drive a car in a heavy densed 17 PM traffic in a 3rd world country where the rules are only there but even the police force disobey them? or have you ever tried to live in a country where its strings are pulled by the USA and the EU, struggling everyday to earn your paycheck and to see it dissolve before inflation? the basic consumable food prices increase 400% in only 8 months? :D I wish my only problem was rude people who call me this and that and dont answer to my forum posts :D
ShylaEighteen
lmao no one pissed me off, i'm innocent i tell you. And wtf u make me out to be a bad person. i go to protests, my sister is in the philipeans right now dealing with the typhoon because she has volonteered at that hospital along with a few people she went to school with. I hate people (mainly rapers) who spend millions on "bling bling" when they can be helping charity instead of having a dumb heavy spinning necklace on their neck that does nothing but what they think makes them look cool. I also put in about 15 hours a week into the humane society because i love animals. i don't get paid fyi and i don't think i need to be cause i enjoy their company. and last year i volonteered at the boys and girls club and they said i was the only so far that volonteered without trying to finish ordered hours of community service. i did that because i adore kids and know that my large city has multiple families that can barely keep a roof over their heads much less get their kids ANYTHING for x-mas or their birthdays. Macmert even if you are dumb enough not to understand what i did, u have no right of calling me unhuman. you have no clue who i am. oh and that reminds me my sisters in the hostpital, a third world hospital, so thanks macmert :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:
macmert
alright whatever, since I am dumb, it is best that I take my leave and you can have decent conversation with intelligent people, since I don t match your standarts :D Please dont call other people dumb, I dont care if you call me names like that, I dont get offended but some other people might :D
billypnats
I get the feeling that the thenexusforums aren't that helpful, no one ever answers my call for help so i just use planetelderscroll sometimes, but my posts just gets washed down by 100000 posts a day and people gives you generic advises that you;'ve already done. Honestly, no offense, i would just go to some less populated forums, that way people actuallys cares more about each other and will hopefully actaully try their best to help
Varus Torvyn
I get the feeling that the thenexusforums aren't that helpful, no one ever answers my call for help so i just use planetelderscroll sometimes, but my posts just gets washed down by 100000 posts a day and people gives you generic advises that you;'ve already done. Honestly, no offense, i would just go to some less populated forums, that way people actuallys cares more about each other and will hopefully actaully try their best to help I would have to differ with you. True, some of my topics have gone unanswered, but instead of getting angry I just tried to research it myself. And since I'm also a member of the Bethesda Forum, I tried the same question there. It varies - sometimes an answer here, sometimes there. But I go the extra mile sometimes. If a Forum member has been particularly helpful, I'll send them a PM saying how much I appreciated them taking time out of their day to help me out. Getting a great answer from a person can really make your day, especially if you're in a jam game-wise. Comparing forums isn't kosher. Each one has both strong & weak points. This forum is part & parcel of TESNexus, and it's one of the best at locating the vast majority of Oblivion Mods. Note to MW people - not excluding you, I just don't have the game (yet), so I'm writing from my frame of reference. :P You have to give Dark0ne a break insofar as answering threads or PMs: I mean, look at the workload & level of responsibility he has. I was quite gratified to be able to get responses from his partner, LHammonds. He's got a workload too, yet he took the time to help me. Even if it is a link, that's help, and I'll go there & read it. LHammonds went the extra mile and taught me a boatload about website bandwidth - which was part of a question I asked. Sometimes it has a lot to do with how you word yourself in these forums. If you come off like you've got a chip on your shoulder, don't expect much in the way of help. I don't have a high post count, but I've RP'd Oblivion for 2 years, so if I do know an answer, I'll help. Sometimes it might take me a while to respond, because I'm off in another window on another domain trying to find the information, to make sure I've got it all correct. Patience helps (don't bump your posts). I've received answers after four days, but I still went in & read them. A little forum etiquette and protocol goes a long way. Honestly, no offense, i would just go to some less populated forums, that way people actuallys cares more about each other and will hopefully actaully try their best to helpNo offense, many of your posts seem to be either technical, or so specific to one aspect that of course there won't be many people who answer in any way that is actually useful. For the most part, questions do get answered around here. There are enough of us who have no lives, and spend the time looking at the forums on a daily basis. Admittedly, there are some questions I don't feel like answering right away, but those usually get answered by bben, Lhammonds, nosisab, or some other knowledgable person. If they don't, I usually end up going back later to atleast give some answer. But many threads are either so generic that the answers could be found through searching (and as mentioned, posting "please do a search for it" seems to be more of an annoyance than not answering) or are so specific that nobody can give a good answer. Like this onehttp://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=63795 Additionally, there are many questions about specific mods, which people who are not using that mod cannot normally answer. Essentially, when it comes to some part of making a mod, there's usually someone willing to help. When it comes to asking how to get a mod working, the information an usually be found by searching. When it comes to hardware or technical issues, there aren't many who can answer. As to Shyla, I understood you when you made your corrections. I was merely explaining how things were appearing before you made those corrections, and which led to the initial responses. You do not need to keep trying to argue for your own reputation. In general, people around here don't have that good of memory, and don't take things personally. You could have just let this thread die since nothing further needed to be said. The reality is that some posts can take awhile to get any sort of answer. Only if you're lucky, or asking something fairly basic will it get answered within the first hour or so. But the forums don't usually move very fast, so the topic usually remains on the first page for a day or two. If it makes you feel better, many of the questions I've asked still havn't gotten too many solutions. Even some of the more basic stuff. And they were asked weeks ago, or longer. I just either did something else, dropped the project, or figured it out on my own.

macmert
I just want to say, please give details about your questions, I remember one topic, one poster just said, I cant get my mods to work... The post was just it... nothing more... Bben and I tried to answer that, the poster didnt even wrote down which mods are not working, which version of oblivion he is using, any expansions and such... please dont do that, give more details so we can help you... Second thing is, I dont answer technical questions regarding modding and such cause I am no modder, hell I cant even get the CS working :D I looked in the tutorials but couldnt get it down, so I dont answer modding questions since I can't :D But I try to answer questions regarding crashes and lock ups... so please be patient with your posts and yea do try to research the net, if this forum cant answer, somewhere someone else can since the people here are not machines that know every little thing about the game (or maybe they do, and maybe they are machines... Hell!!! :D)
Aoikani
... deleted to save space... I have heard many people complain about not getting the help they need.... Wow, I actually got dehydrated reading this thread O.O J/k :) I have actually thought that also, but that was over a year and a half ago though. Truth of it is, So many people are in the forums, and let's face it. I've actually, moused over my refresh button clicking it over and over to see how fast topics are started anew or replied to and watched threads just move down the line so fast. It's unbelievable :) So yeah, I suppose sometimes peoples topics sometimes go unanswered. I know I've had a few :) No big deal though. But on the topic of getting help.... not for once do I believe that there is no one that cares enough to help or respond in advice here at the forums that could when they notice the need. It's just at sometimes there are more pressing topics that steal away their time. But I'll will say this PM PM PM PM. If you're on the forums long enough, you will know who is on and helps frequently. And if you don't know, I'll nominate someone who you can PM LHammonds ! :) well, he is very busy at times too. But if someone needs a little help on something and I can help, send me a PM. I bet there are a lot here that won't mind that also. I frequent the BGS forums a lot lately only because of a large Modding project I'm involved with. TESNexus is my home forums though, so if I'm around I'll help and Lhammonds will too! Just remember, any person you think you might want to PM aren't always available immediately.
