nleminous
i've seem to come upon a terrifying revelation in seeing the game's practice affected by my particular trend of playing my character's role: a simple adventure with a simple sword. this likely resulted from meeting erik of rorikstead, who longed to be a warrior and adventure similar to myself (or, i suppose, my character). alas, he didn't have the money for armor! i understand mercenaries and enlisted soldiers wearing armor. this reflects my understanding of a classical-period real world. but armor in skyrim is presented as absolutely vital, and thusly, very abundant. this is absurd to me! armor should be a rarity, a sign of status or enlistment! and should offer a fundamental advantage in being one of the few to wear it! my character looks far too snazzy, anyway, in his white-ish tunic and high boots, and in consequence, i cannot truly face most human enemies with confidence. i'm sure my issue can be alleviated simply.. if there was some way to modify the probability of bandits and the like spawning with certain gear? ideally, bandits should be lucky to live long enough to get their hands on a piece of quality armor. as well as creating much higher prices to purchase it. wherein the CK might i edit the values? i've been looking around in it and can't figure it. cheers
David Brasher
You would need to edit a whole bunch of leveled lists to edit armor frequency. Object Window>Items>Leveled Item. You would need to edit a whole bunch of armor item price stats. Object Window>Items>Armor.
