ShadowGryphon
So I'm having an issue with a mod or mods causing my characters to look like they have black face (for those who are unfamiliar with the term, in old Hollywood white actors were painted with black makeup in order to portray African-American characters on screen. Considered highly racist by today's standards for obvious reasons.) I was trying to ignore it but I went and woke up Serana and she's got it too.I thought it might have come from the Cutting Room Floor mod since data from the content that mod restores is incomplete and there are a few NPC's that come with the restored content that have not so much black face but two different skin tones: the body will be one color and from the neck up the neck and face will be a different color.I disabled the mod but it didn't seem to fix the problem so now I'm kind of stumped. I'm wondering if anybody else has run into this issue with other mod(s) and if so which ones, or does anybody know how to fix it another way? Any help would be appreciated. Baer2x4
It's most always a load order problem. Did you use Loot?

Baer2x4
It's probably either a load order or mod conflict problem and Loot isn't always right, but usually is. You don't give enough info here to be of much help. There are several tutorials online that should be of help.
Shabdez
Did you by chance manually rename a plugin file (.esp or .esm)? That's what I did recently and this can cause black faces because the facegen data is in a folder that should match the plugin name. Algabar
Is the face black (as in pitch black) or rather dark brown? Dark brown usually means missing FaceGen data, really black often indicates insufficient vram.
