shizoido
With each storing, my savegame about 0,2 MB becomes larger. This leads to stigen increasing of my saves and finally the game lags. This lag i register every view minutes and they as longer as bigger the savegames become. The saves crowing, equal what i do- e.c. dropping or destoying items. I switched off all big mods like Wars in Skyrim, Warzones, Dynavision ...The phenomenon began after the last patch to 1.5.26. Ha somebody a idea what i can do or n o t do?Knows somebody how to roll back to an earlier patch?
blitzen
I had that exact problem earlier. The save file size was over 100 MB for one avatar. Other avatars were ok. The bad save files were for my oldest character, so it may have had something to do with earlier versions of some mods introducing some bugs. I ended up switching off warzones, wars in skyrim, and occupy skyrim. I used "set timescale to 60000" in the console to wait for 30 days to allow all cells to reset (this will clear out all the corpses, equipment, items, etc.). Then I saved the game again. Things cleared up and the problem has not reoccurred. Don't forget to reset the timescale back to a reasonable value. I use 4 or 6. I think default is 16, which is too fast for me. shizoido
Hey blitzen!Thank you for response. I agree with you, it has something to do with bugs from mods (hmm... Wars in Skyrim IV was suddenly deleted from nexxus after last update...?). But i had no Idea how to "clean" the game. I will try your solution immediately.About timescale: Default is 20, realtime is 1.
blitzen
Keep in mind that some size increase is inevitable. Any time you move anything from its default location, take anything or kill anything, the game has to track it, so it adds a little increase in size to the save file. It will increase over time. Mine just got to absurd sizes, so even with an SSD, there were frequent game freezes which lasted for a couple of seconds. I'm not sure what it was doing during the freezes, because they seemed to be unrelated to any actions that were taking place in game. If you are running with an HDD, keeping it reasonably defragmented should help.
shizoido
THX again. You're right, little increase is normaly, but my savegames are groving up with every saving for about 800 kb each time- even if i doing nothing :-)My game is running from SSD also and when i start with a saved game with about 11 MB in one houre it is growing to somthing about 30 MB. I also have this little game freezes frequently. They are as longer as bigger the savegame is.The last houres i tried to restart with an earlier and clean savepoint from two weeks ago but i have still the same effects. I think it has something to do with the last patch. For now, i think it's the best idea to waste no more time on this piece of crashware.... Maybe in a Year i try it again, when the beta of Skyrim is over and the game is patched to a solid version :-)
jwo7777777
One of my savegames started doing this at around 22MB size. I intuit that it has something to do with memory management within the game itself because I started a new game with all the same mods (incl. WIS4 and Warzones and Deadly Dragons) and it ran just fine. So did earlier saves of smaller file size. I am presently doing a playthrough using possessivecorpses, WIS4, DD (but no warzones ... I learned my computer freezes at certain cells with it) and doing NO alchemical ingredient collection. My character is searching for the elder scroll somewhere around level 30 with 4 followers (UFO) and my filesize is 6MB. I hate all the alchemy ingredient collection and practicing anyway and I don't miss it. When I need a smithing or enchanting potion, I either buy it or console create it. If I want to micromanage things, I'll go play SimCity or the like.
gurgelstock
Try the Unofficial Sykrim Patch, it's supposed to fix these issues by removing corpses and stacked nirnroot glows, etc. You shouldn't plan your playstyle to make up for savegame bloating. I collect every weapon and armor I think might be worth keeping, I do smithing and alchemy and have 200+ of some ingredients stored at home. My weapon chest is filled to a point where adding or taking anything out of it will take up to 4 seconds. I am level 52, played about 125 hours and my savegame is at 11MB. shizoido, removing a mod doesn't mean all change are removed - your problems are most likely caused by a mod, not by the game itself...
