erad25
Request: The creation of Kahlan Amnell's leather/cloth travelling garb from the "Legend of the Seeker" TV series, which was inspired by Terry Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" novels. Various color schemes would be nice, but not necessary. As for the body model...I would personally prefer Vanilla and/or CBBE Slim, as those are the two I use, but beggars can't be choosers! Image from Legend of the Seeker Basic Sketch of Armor I possess a crude model of the armor from Dragon Age Origins, but it's not in NIF format. It's in ERF format (I think). I can provide the file if needed- it no longer exists on the Nexus or anywhere else. I looked around for information about how to tackle this project myself...I downloaded Nifskope, Blender, Python, other things I have no knowledge of...hoping that I might be able to tinker my way to something passable. I will probably continue to try if nobody replies to this topic. But I don't think I would do it justice. Reasoning: I would like to see this armor/clothing set made because I believe it fits fairly well in the Elder Scrolls universe. It's also fairly realistic, in that it actually covers the wearer...unlike 90% of the female armor mods within the Skyrim Nexus- yet it still remains sexy and elegant. It's also a versatile piece, in that I could see it being used for an rogue-ish build or a mage. Contact: Obviously, I'll check my posting here for interest, but I'll also check for PM's. I'm also open to chatting via Gmail (PM me for email address, I'm not posting it here) or Nexus Chat via PM. I will help in any way I can. I am relatively new to...everything, having only created a couple of simple mods for myself with SkyEdit and the Creation Kit. But I can try to make a quest for it, a crafting recipe, or...anything really. Just let me know, and I'll try to help however possible. Thanks, erad25
jlseaton
Excuse my "noobness" - first time posting to the forums. That being said, I would also like to see a Kahlan travelling dress mod as well as her Confessor's robe as craftable items. My knowledge of actual modding could fit in a thimble, so I'm hoping for some gracious modder to take this task on for all of us other "modding challenged." About the closest mod I've come across that is somewhat like Kahlan's travelling dress is the Field Mage Outfit CBBEv3 Echo by Echo 1162. It's a sharp looking outfit, but for whatever reason, I cannot get it to work, either the dress or leather armor versions. This has stumped me because I downloaded Echo's Thieves Guild Duelist armor and it works (and looks) great. Anyway, to anyone who is capable of crafting this mod, I - for one - would be grateful! Thanks!

Thanks! It is nearly done. Here is a picture of it not too long ago... http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/gg602/erad25/confessorarmorwip.jpg?t=1336154012 However, the textures and updated mesh were lost when a hard drive went out. Once the artistic side of the armor is done, everything else is ready to ship out. The armor is forgeable, temperable, and enchantable. I also threw in a couple of books to attempt to sort of mold Confessors into the Elder Scrolls universe. The mod also comes bundled with two new powers- Confession, and Con Dar. Both are unbreakable "charm" spells that last virtually indefinitely. Confession is a lesser power, and as such, useable at will. It also requires you to be in melee range (to touch them). Con Dar is an AOE version that Confesses everything in a significant area around you. It is also flagged as a power, so it can only be used once a day. Both spells are useable on all creatures except for undead. It may not be 100% true to Sword of Truth lore, but in this case I don't really care. The wisp Shar was Confessed in the books. So anything with a soul is Confessable (Confessing dragons is uber fun, especially if you have Deadly Dragons). These spells will not be easily attainable (likely a scavenger hunt) without using the console, as they're quite overpowered. I may tweak them further to try to add a stamina loss to balance them a bit more. We shall see. As for the Mother Confessor's dress...Kahlan's classic white dress...it likely won't be included initially. In the future, perhaps. But it probably won't be much more than a retexture. Looks really good so far. Honestly, I wish I could be more help, or even produce mods that are a tenth of the talent of some of you guys, but lack of time and understanding leaves me to simply be a mod-user. Keep me posted! durge13
Hey I am working on a expansion to Skyrim which adds the Old and New worlds in a continent which is totally separate from Tamriel. Basing the mod in the era of the Great War, kahlan and richard and such do not exist yet but there will be confessors and pretty much everything else still and I would be very appreciative if you would allow me to use this for the mod? I am only in the planning stage and currently just gathering as much models as I can make or get permission to use which would be appropriate for this so any other help would be great too. erad25
What you're describing is a MASSIVE undertaking. Even if you didn't add any quests or NPCs...what you're talking about is creating two lands that are equivalent (in scale) to making Skyrim and Cyrodiil. Maybe larger. The New World alone consists of Westland, the Midlands, D'Hara... If you put any effort into detail, you will be working on this a very long time, even if you have a couple people helping you. Just making the Wizard's Keep in Aydindril would be a grand accomplishment. I admire your vision and approve of the idea...but...I'm not going to approve it until seeing something. Perhaps if you got a working Midlands in place...? I don't know. Keep me informed, or PM me.
ChaosDAce
Durge13 great Idea I totally support it and will endorse it right now, also it doesn't matter if it takes too long you can release it bit by bit, this would help because while your working on the next part of the mod we can enciunter and report bugs. So for example first make and release the weapons/loot, then the next time work on and release the characters and finaly, build and release the lands bit by bit, first the westlands and add the boundary, then work on and release the midlands and so on. I think this was the process the guy who made moonpaths to elsweyr used and look at how amazing that mod is and how many endorsements it has. Seriously I love bothe the books and the show and I think you should definitly go ahead with it. And Erad25 dont put him down, if you have nothing useful to add then don't, The impossibility of the task must not stop us from undertaking it (Zed). By the way why does the mordsith armor make my the characters torso invisible and not show up. I am not a modder but if you need any other form of assistance tell me either through this post or PM me.

I did not put him down. Anybody considering making Sword of Truth content is great imo. BUT, you yourself said you're not a modder, so perhaps you don't quite comprehend the scale of what they're describing. This is a project that would take Bethesda a long time to create, let alone a possibly new or inexperienced modder. I'm happy to lend my work to their project if it's well constructed. A perfectly fair request. The only sovereign you can allow to rule you is reason. Passion rules reason, for better or for worse.
ChaosDAce
Erad25 sorry if I sounded harsh, I'm not a modder but I have made games and sculpted entire maps for some other games, and i know it can be quite and tedious so i apologize if i was mean but couldn't it be possible if a bunch of modders got together to tackle it. Anyway is your mod complete if so where is the link? The armor looks amazing by the way and will you be doing the confessors dress because my character is a nor girl and I've named her Kahlan. erad25
Not quite. Weighting took a very long time, and the morph mesh is taking longer. Every armor has two separate meshes a "skinny" mesh (_0) and "big" mesh (_1) in order for the Weight slider to work. If _1 doesn't match _0 perfectly (in scale), the armor "explodes" in game, or you get a CTD. The Mother Confessor's dress will not be included, at least initially. However, a white silky textured variation of the image above will be included. The problem with the Mother Confessor's is weighting. To do the armor justice, it'd have to include the long draping fabric near the elbows. That, and the dress in general, would be difficult to properly weight so the material moves in a realistic manner in relation to physics and the skeleton.
