theLeeHarvey
Anybody know if there is a way to reset all of the quests in Oblivion? What I'm wanting to do is start the game over but use a character I've already got. It seems that it would be easiest to just reset all of the quests I've completed and begin again. I just don't know how or even if you can for that matter. I'm sure it's got to be possible somehow. I've got the latest OBSE, though I don't know if that could be used for this purpose. If there is another, easier way (or ANY way) please let me know. Thanks, LeeHarvey. :thanks:
Sarya
Well, there are several console commands related to quests... but I don't see the one to do it at one click. I think the list is incomplete. http://tes.ag.ru/oblivion/cheats/cheats.shtml

The only real way to do this is to create a new character, and then cheat yourself with the same stats and items. I think there are some things which can be done with wyrebash, but the general idea is still the same.
theLeeHarvey
Thanks Sarya. So far resetting each quest individually is the only way I can think of to do it but, man, thats gonna take forever, know what I mean? I'm just hoping somebody knows an easier way. :wallbash: You are right though, that list is incomplete. Vagrant: Is there anyway to hold a character over to a new game? You know, like save all of the characters information except the quest stuff and then use the save to start a new game? I've thought about restarting and using the cheats to re-make my character so to speak, but I'm too lazy for that. I'll do it if it comes down to that though. WoogieMonster
There are ways to copy an old characters face onto a new chaaracter in a new save, then as Vagrant mentioned, console cheat your way back up to the desired stats. As far as moving an old saved character into a new saved game, I do not know if that can be done.

But yeah, no means of doing that at this point in time. Besides, the main quest kinda sucks. Once you've done it a few times, you get to the point where you don't even want to start it. Best to just stick with the same game, and either use mods, or explore those areas outside the beaten path to keep you interested.
theLeeHarvey
Yeah, I agree about the main quest, I've done it 3 times now and it's getting old. I just want to do all of the other quests again. I guess I'm just gonna keep playing the quest mods that get my attention until I get tired of that, which doesn't seem likely.
Sarya
How about adding new quests? There are not as much of them around as female clothing, but should be enough.
Varus Torvyn
I started a new goal with Oblivion to keep things fresh. I'm adding in as many quest-mods as possible without having to sacrifice any already loaded in. Using Random's FCOM Helper + OBMM I've met with great success so far. I'm trying to break 200 on the Fame stat (186 at present). What the hey? Something different, quest-mods add a lot to the game. :D
theLeeHarvey
Yeah, I've downloaded several quest mods now but since I play with Better Cities it's kind of hard to find ones that don't conflict.
