jshull49
I don't know if this has been discussed before. How do you get companions to get into power armor? I know there is a mod for settlers but have seen nothing for companions.
taryl80
If you have a companion on your site that -supports- this, you can just order them to go into a power armor, like you can order a companion to hack a terminal, or picklocking a lock. Perraine
Any "human" companion can use Power Armor. Obviously non-human shaped/sized companions can't, but there are mods that turn Ada and Codsworth into "humans" and Curie will eventually get a "human" body (yes, yes I know it's a synth, but the game considers them "human" from an armor/clothing perspective) Nick is also considered "human" in that respect. There may well be a mod to make Strong human, and possibly Dogmeat as well (if not, then someone may be inspired to make one ;) ) I'm not sure if the "generic" followers you can create with mods like EFF or the "create your own synth" mods have the correct "order" option to enter PA and the correct dialogue option to exit PA, but you could create a backup save and test it.Finally I know Heather Casdin will use PA if ordered to, but you have to dig a little deeper into her dialogue to get the "exit power armor" option. And for the Ada2human mod, you need to use the "Exit PA" option in the "Ada Controller" holotape.
Moksha8088
You hit enter on the character when they are too far away for a conversation and then point to the power armor. Continue pointing to the armor until the NPC climbs into it. Heather is about the best NPC for power armor since she will not leave it behind when she wakes up in the morning. If we find a set, I will let her wear it back to the Red Rocket where I keep the various sets of power armor found in the game. It's nice to have but not to wear.
