Trying to work out how to change Leliana's hair.

I can find tutorials on how to change her whole head with another morph but all i want to do is just change her hair, maybe even use hair from another mod.

So any help would be appreciated. I'm pretty sure i could get the hang of the toolset if required as it doesn't look too bad.

To swap out her hair using an MRH file and the toolset, I recommend reviewing the face morph tutorials at Whuffie's Dragon Age blog; you can download the default Bioware MRH files from the toolset wiki. (The 'CDN' - Content Delivery Network - links should still work, though the BSN links are dead.)

If you don't have an editable MRH (i.e., the morph in question is from a mod), you can still change the hairstyle by editing the MOR with pyGFF. I think these instructions are pretty good... though I should write an illustrated tutorial one of these days.

Well i managed to edit her and add her hair that i wanted. Saved it and exported it as a morp. Now the problem is no matter where i place it i can't seem to get it to change in game. The mod appears in the journal so the game see's it just not sure where the files need placing.

Not sure what you mean by 'appears in journal'... did you create a DAzip for some reason? (NPC morph replacers are usually manual overrides, placed in \Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override... in fact, I can't think of any that aren't.)

And some possible reasons it isn't working:

Incorrect nomenclature: for DAO, Leliana's morph file must be named 'hf_genfl_leliana.mor', for her DLC it's 'hf_lel000_leliana.mor'.

The exported file is a *.mop (player character preset) rather than a *.mor (NPC morph).

There is another file with the same name in override, creating a conflict.

Aha! It was saved as a *.mop instead of a *.mor. Thnak you so much for your help! Loaded the file back up exported it as a *.mor and it loaded perfectly! Couldn't have done it without your help! :D
