gohanf22
Ok I am using the HOTTER Skyrim Mod that changes the female NPC faces to something a bit better. However, the NPC Aela is having an issue. Actually they are all having an issue but right now it is Aela. She is talking but not moving her lips and it is starting to scare me. Is there an incompatibility with this mod with other mods I do not know about? I really like this mod, but I am hoping this isn't a result of other mods I have installed. Can someone please assist. Thank you.
c6t9
I had the same problem. And when I removed HOTTER Skyrim, the problem did not. So I am stuck with it I guess. And it's kinda bad since Aela is my wife. I guess I have to reset everything with original files. Did use NMM, but who knows.
whatwouldzakkd0
same boat. haven't tried to remove anything but i noticed when Aela first transformed to a wolf and I did as well, when i saw her next she had no facepaint and looked a touch different. Did the mission "The silver hand" and a few after, came back and she has her "Hotter skyrim" look back complete with facepaint and now her lips are not moving. sum *censored*
kholdy4
Had the same issue. It's related to her werewolf transformation during the quest, I believe, but I haven't found a fix.Just as a warning, don't try to reset her by using setnpcweight in the console. It removes her head. xEspada
Here is how I fixed it cos I has the exact same problem. Before you do the quest where she transforms to a werewolf for the first time disable aela's mod or anything affecting her appearance and then do that quest. Once you wake up from your werewolf rampage you can safely reactivate those mods. Problem fixed Edited May 18, 2012 by xEspada

Problem fixed I ran into this same problem because I didn't think to disable the mod before the werewolf transformation quest. After looking through the quest scripts, I think I found the answer. Open the console (~)Click Aela (or prid 0001a697)Type setrace <race ID>Close console And her lips started moving again. The <race ID> needs to be whatever race your custom Aela mod changed her to. I think Hotter Skyrim must have her set to Breton. It should have kept it at Nord. It may have but when Werewolf transformation happens it might screw with the mod. I first tried setting it to Breton then back to Nord and the lip thing was fixed but her head didn't match her body and she was missing the war paint. It works best as Breton cause the lips move and the face matches. Only issue is the hair is laying on a body that is no longer there so it's sort of suspended an inch or two about her chest but whatever. Yeah, I haven't yet figured out how to fix the floating hair issue. You can tell if you have the correct race id, though, because as you stated the texture, warpaint, and mouth animations will show up correctly (well, correctly relative to the mod, that is).
