07abur
So downloaded Nexus Mod Manager for first time on new computer, in order to use it with Skyrim SE. It tells me I should start Skyrim SE to get whatever file/s, so I do. Then I reopen NMM, it tells me skyrim.esp is missing (see picture) so I reopen Skyrim SE and start a new game then exit soon after. I reopen NMM and get same message. RS13
Verify the integrity of the game files in steam.
Druuler
Also, make certain that where NMM is looking for your Skyrim install, is where it is actually installed. Another possible reason you are having issues, is that the default Program Files location is the WORST place to install a moddable game. Windows security actively prevents unauthorized alterations/access to programs in that location. It could be preventing NMM from accessing your game. Vrakyas
Please be sure, that Skyrim SE is downloaded completly. It looks like it isn't downloaded fully, because the shown path points to the temporary download location. Yours is:C:\Programm Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading\489830\But it should be:C:\Programm Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\
leonardo2
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\That depends in what Steam Library the OP had SSE installed. For example, I have the Steam version of Morrowind and I install it in this path. G:\Bethesda Softworks\Skyrim\steamapps\common\Morrowind Because I always had Skyrim installed in that path, so Morrowind was installed in the same path as both SLE and SSE are.
