StorytellerArc
1. What is wrong with posting in yellow? Its my signature. 2. That sounds more like a quest request then putting together a group of people that will work on multiple quest mods.
kibblesticks
1. What is wrong with posting in yellow? Its my signature.Well since you ask, tis quite painful on the eyes, and since you've only made 20 posts I think it's probably safe to change it. How about this one instead? A little less headache enducing. Don't know why you'd need to have a signature colour anyway though.. the clothes don't make the man and all that. 2. That sounds more like a quest request then putting together a group of people that will work on multiple quest mods. Yes it is.. you work on one quest at a time. It's a bit obvious you've never made a mod or have any idea of the thought proccesses behind them though, so this is all a bit pointless. I'm not being rude, just realistic. Hang around the community, make a few mods yourself, learn the ropes, and you might understand why I'm being negative about this particular idea. Again, I'd say the best thing to do if you want to make mods is to build up a great idea, and work on them one at a time. And just for the record, I didn't want you to think I was trying to get into an argument, I'm just trying to give you some friendly, constructive advice. :turned:

Some people give the excuse of "I have no modding skills but I have good ideas." Well you an idea is nothing if you can't make it. That's why we have a request forum. But if you're looking for somewhere to start, a house mod is easy enough to get a good understanding of the do's and don'ts.
David Brasher
I can contribute. The story behind a quest is very important...The modding isn't everything when it comes to a quest... and I guess I could learn the basics in order to help... Ideas are a dime a dozen. There are story writers and idea people everywhere. The major bottleneck is in putting the ideas into the game so that they can be played. I don't think that you are going to attract a lot of people to your modding team if your role is solely to write stories and come up with ideas. You can do that like 100 or 1000 times as fast as the material can be put into the game. You would run the risk of being thought of as a slave driver as was mentioned earlier in the thread. What you probably ought to do, in order to establish street cred, is build and upload some mods. If you can't do it without support, maybe you could find a mod team to join. Sorry to be critical, but I am just not thinking that very many modders would take well to working under a team lead who is less skilled than they are. tg08096
You would do fine if you sought out the help. I train noobs (w/ mics) who wish to contribute to my mod: Night Terrors. Night Terrors? Sounds Intriguing. I need some help with a mod myself. I did a search for it but didn't find. What's the synopsis, and what do you need help with (from me, a noob)? Sounds Intriguing. I need some help with a mod myself. I did a search for it but didn't find. What's the synopsis, and what do you need help with (from me, a noob)? Level design. Which noobs are very capable of doing with a little bit of learning. I'm willing to teach as long as [A] you are committed to the project (this does not mean the project needs to be worked on night and day, we are fairly relaxed) and you either get or already have a mic to communicate with & [C] that you know English. You will be credited based on your contributions. Meaning that when I release the project I display things you created/contributed. So the more you do the better you look. Do as little or as much as you want. But If I'm going to teach you from scratch I would hope you would give back a little. If you agree to what I wrote above, PM me and I'll give you the link and let you overview the story and etc. From their you can decide whether you want to continue or not. If you want to continue I can teach you this weekend. Not too hard right? :P
