I guess they are done wih oblivion since they would like to get their hands on TESV... I dont know I am just making an educated guess... since their hands are full with Fallout III it will be a daunting task to come up with expansions to Oblivion, publishing Fallout III and prepare for TESV...

So a friend of mine that normally knows his stuff, said that bethsda said their done with oblivion. I'm hoping he meant done with downloads and not that their done as in not making another expansion sometime. Do you know if it is true? I'm scared... hold me...

They are not making any more expansions for Oblivion. All of their work is being focused on Fallout 3. Fallout 3 was mentioned to be a 2009-2010 release. TESV hasn't even started any official work yet (unless they're doing it in secret) so it'll probably be another 4-5 years before that happens. If we're exceedingly lucky, we may finally get another patch when they're done with fallout to adress some of the remaining major issues with the game and the CS, but I wouldn't count on it.

Between Fallout 3 and TESV, Oblivion expansions are done, but modding will continue until TESV comes out, of course. So it's no real matter if there isn't anything OFFICIAL, in my opinion.

Also safe to say we won't see TESV until the next generation of consoles.

Dunno, PS3 could probably handle it. Xbox or Wii, not a chance.

TES IV and III will probably continue well after TESV is released, especially if it continues the trend of planning for what hardware people will have by then, and cutting back on almost every aspect short of eyecandy or mindless hack and slash combat.

It's really more important to see if they manage to pull off Fallout 3 before anything about TESV can be said. There is also that suspected MMO which might, but probably isn't, in the works. Unlike the single player games TESOnline wouldn't need to have any depth or gameplay value.
