Xenti
How many people remember Stalhrim from the Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind? You would find it in Nordic barrows. Some of the dead Draugrs would be encased in it. I'm hoping some ambitious modder is willing to attempt to recreate the Stalhrim "Ice-metal" look on some craftable weapons. Maybe even add natural Stalhrim formations in Nordic ruins.
62firelight
This looks like a great idea, someone should definitely make this. It also seems that this is possible, considering Skyrim's mining and crafting have been implemented into the game. Though it may be difficult, I don't know for sure. Xenti
I don't think it would be all that complicated, granted, I know very little about modding. I wish there was a little more information about what Stalhrim actually is. So far the only think i have found is that its used in Nordic burials. behughes
Great suggestion, been trying to remember the name of this forever! Also, there was another substance you could craft in Bloodmoon, adamantium I think... Maybe the Stalhrim armor could be a retex of glass with an added ingredient in its crafting recipe, with a higher weight and damage redux than glass but lower than dragon scale. Likewise, Adamantium could be a retex of Ebony with a semi-reflective silver look. Just a thought.
Xenti
The Adamantium was from the Tribunal expansion, I always loved that armor. I want to avoid a re-texture. I usually don't like re-textures unless its extremely well done. Most of the time they look pretty cheap.
ShaunzyBombzy
I would not mind making this mod, however, until I can get my Blender working the way I want it to, I would be limited to a retexture. Someone pray tell: would it be all that complicated to use NifSkope to combine certain elements of vanilla armors together so that it is not simply a bland retexture? My first thought would be to use the Skyrim natural Glacier meshes so it would match the Aevar Stone Slinger Mace mod that is currently out. perhaps combining some fur elements with the Glass set, as well as maybe adding the ebony pauldrons might make a fitting set of Stalrhim? And to behughes, someone already did a stunning silver retex of the Ebony armor that looks SPOT ON for adamantium. Except the pauldrons. I think the Nordplate pauldrons would be a perfect replacement. Again, if someone can tell me or point me in the direction of nifskope editing procedure, I will start pumping this s*** out like Japan pumps out weird. Xenti
I like the idea of using the glacier textures, what if you combined that with the straps and pauldrons of banded iron? EDIT: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php/NifSkope_Editing Would that help? Edited April 11, 2012 by Xenti

Anyone else who has additional pages for me to read, I would gladly accept. If all goes well, I will try to have at least a beta of the Stalhrim up on the Nexus in a few days or so. You.Are.Awesome.Ha ha, not a problem! I love an opportunity to learn something new. You might have actually helped me with this post. See, if I can learn to amalgamate meshes, I will do a weekly release of lore friendly armours.
