Help. (And remember I am an idiot)

I added a few mods (5) and my game worked fine.

I added a few more... now my game crashes after 1 min of gameplay.

I disabled the newly added mods and it made no difference.

 

I have no idea how to get my beloved game back and I have no idea what to do.

 

these are the mods. Help me please? In simple instructions? For an idiot?

What do you mean when you say you "disabled" the new mods? (Some require more than others to remove completely.)

 

How did you install them? (So we can provide the correct instructions.)

 

And could you please edit your post to put a line-break between each mod? (I went cross-eyed trying to parse that wall o'text.)

Right. I installed each mod in manually via the Nexus Mod Manager

Spell Shaping Skills, Tactics and Levelings

Primal Mastery

dao_extradogslot

Extended Dog Talents, Skills, Tactics and Levelings

 

These 4 above first. Which worked great.

 

Then the others... which jambs the game about 2 mins after loading current game position

Unlock Specializations, Cheats and God Items

Unlimited Followers

Player House Locations

Alley of Murders Quests and Adventures

 

I uninstalled these but clicking the "No entry " red circle crossed out symbol in the mod list.

P.S When I copied and pasted the list initially it was nicely laid out.

Hoo-boy...

 

First of all, NMM doesn't really work well with DAO. It can handle some mods properly, but others it can't. Then, as you have learned, it has problems removing them as well.

 

Second, I would UNINSTALL all those mods manually by:

1. Moving everything in your "\Dragon age\packages\core\override" folder to a temp location, and;

2. Unchecking the box next to all but the "official" DLC in the "Downloadable Content" screen (off the Main Menu).

 

Then do a "Force Load" of a save without any mods and see what happens.

 

If your game loads, Great!

 

If not, try adding the mods back on-by-one to determine which one causes the problem. Only this time, follow the mod author's instructions for installation.

I'll follow it as soon as I can work out how to do this bit... 1. Moving everything in your "\Dragon age\packages\core\override" folder to a temp location.
