Njorunn
Hi! Purple textures can mean two things - either you're missing the correct texture for that particular mesh (the textures are in the wrong folder perhaps?) or it can also mean that your RAM is nearing its limit (something I learned recently) - restarting should solve it! I saw that you have 4GB RAM though and that should be enough.. Sincerely

Sincerely restarting the game you mean? or steam? because i have exited the game restarted it multiple times still hasn't changed.well now there actually is a textures and meshes folder when there wasn't before not sure if that has anything to do with it or not... MShoap13
Are the same exact objects (imperial feet for example) consistently purple every time you view them, or is it random?
DraugrDeathLord
Are the same exact objects (imperial feet for example) consistently purple every time you view them, or is it random?no it's random, for example: i had a save where i was i inside a building but as soon as i left i could see it was sometimes someone's clothing or someone's weapon or like a bear skin hanging on a wall but it seemed to be different items but the same kind of items each time. hope that helps. need any other info just ask :)
Perraine
That sounds to me suspiciously like a memory issue, generally when Skyrim starts to run out of ram it will start to randomly 'lose' textures like that (pink/purple dragons are fun to fight  )Running the BGS HD Texture Pack DLC or any other HD textures is probably what's causing it, although your system shouldn't have any problems with Skyrim generally, even with the DLC, so are you running any other texture mods?(like MANY armor mods, as some idiot modders put uncompressed 4096 x 4096 textures in their mods, 21mb plus for each texture! Stupid and totally pointless  )
MShoap13
As Perraine pointed out, this is most likely a memory issue. If you're on basic XP (32 bit) it's most likely System Memory you're running out of, even though XP has a much smaller memory footprint than Vista/7. I'd recommend trying something like this: Bethesda HD Textures Redux
