DraugrDeathLord
That sounds to me suspiciously like a memory issue, generally when Skyrim starts to run out of ram it will start to randomly 'lose' textures like that (pink/purple dragons are fun to fight  )Running the BGS HD Texture Pack DLC or any other HD textures is probably what's causing it, although your system shouldn't have any problems with Skyrim generally, even with the DLC, so are you running any other texture mods?(like MANY armor mods, as some idiot modders put uncompressed 4096 x 4096 textures in their mods, 21mb plus for each texture! Stupid and totally pointless  ) thank you for replying perraine :) and yes the adec mod is the only one i have right now.

Perraine
The only thing that MAY help is lowering some of the more intensive graphics options for Skyrim, Firstly I'd turn of AA and AF in the options as these can be a big memory sink, Secondly have a look and see what size texture files the ADEC mod has installed, sometime (as I mentioned before) the mod can install some ridiculously large textures and as a consequence, every bit of skin shown in game and especially every time you strip a corpse of it's armor, the game has to load that large texture file ... If that doesn't help, try lowering the screen resolution, although doing that will pretty much make the HD texture pack useless, there are also several 'tweak guides' for Skyrim available on the net so maybe a google search is in order

MShoap13
At 1024x768 Screen resolution there's no point what-so-ever in any HD (2k map size) textures. Most of the game's default textures may not even be getting displayed at full size. The ones that are being displayed at full size are tiny objects in the first place that are decently portrayed with the original texture anyways (silver goblets and chickens lol). You may still want to grab user created textures, but try to look for textures with a 1K map size and preferably a 512 normal map size. Your GPU is definitely holding you back the most. If your goal is stunning visuals at playable frame rates, an upgrade to a $200-250 GTX 560 or 560 TI is highly recommended (Not 560 SE, and I personally recommend nVidia over AMD due to AMD's poor pace of driver updates). Supposedly the 670 and 670 TI are right around the corner (within the next month or so). They'll most likely out perform the 560 TI by a good margin, but no clue on pricing and availability. It would marginally help your low FPS, in CPU intensive areas, to upgrade your CPU. With my 560 TI, I just went from an AMD FX-62 (almost the exact same performance as your current chip) to a Phenom II x4 980 and on 1920x1080 with (highly tweaked) Ultra settings, SSAO enabled, 8x MSAA, 16x AF, and ENBseries/FXAA PPI, I went from ~31 low FPS to ~37 low FPS. (I measured this staring down at the Gildergreen from the top of the steps in Whiterun, and in the Thieves Guild Cistern area). You do have a monitor that supports HD resolutions correct? An upgrade to a 64 bit OS is also highly recommended solely for the fact that you're getting jipped out of about 1.8GB of System RAM with your current hardware. Skyrim plus HD textures eats lots of RAM. Unfortunately, there is no way to upgrade a 32 bit OS directly to a 64 bit OS so, you'd either have to format your current HDD, or buy a new drive to install the 64 bit OS on. MShoap13
Moving the two "HighResTextures.bsa" archives and, I believe there's two "HighResTextures.esp" plugins, out of the \Skyrim\Data\ folder would uninstall them. As far as your monitor goes, without a manual or anything on hand, I believe you'd have to look up the monitor's model number on the manufacturer's website. There may or may not be a simple program capable of telling you what your monitor's native resolution is. Pretty much any monitor from the past five years is going to be 1920x1080 or better, and they've been making 1080p monitors for about 10 years now so...
