Symbols of Office

Hi everyone,

 

I am currently at the Shivering Isles Symbols of Office Quest. I have retrieved the eye and now need to retrieve the branch. I am standing in front of the stone in the center of the pond, but when I try to touch it or grab it nothing happens. So I would like to know if I am missing something along the way. As I am stuck at this location and without that branch cannot continue this game any help would be greatly appreciated.
