Best "canon" ending for a sequel

So which of the endings/factions is the best springboard for an east-coast sequel?
It's also a convenient time to mention the same for the west coast and New Vegas, because I bet someday the two coasts will meet in the middle and duke it out. Would a House ending be the best material for a sequel? Or another NCR-benefiting ending like they've typically been assuming in past fallouts?

The BOS can get destroyed and still survive. This is because there are many branches of the BOS throughout the former United States.

Now ... I think an interesting twist would be do do the next Fallout outside of the US.

Maybe a Fallout China? Or perhaps Fallout Europe?

I agree with Roentgens, the most likely canon ending will either be BoS or MM. I CAN see the BoS being destroyed within the Commonwealth, as the that does not mean they are gone from the East Coast, but I cannot see the Railroad, Minutemen, or Institute being a major faction in any other location. Maybe the Institute if they jump ahead 20-30 years, but even then I can't see them spreading too much except sending out Gen-3 spies.

The best ending, I think, would be the MM ending WITH the destruction of the BoS. It leaves the Commonwealth in the hands of its own citizens, but leaves the BoS technically alive on the East Coast.

Yeah, I'm not thinking of what would be the most pleasant ending (the Minute Men I think), but rather the ending that would lead to the most interesting sequel. The Minute Men don't immediately make me think of Wow what happens next would be awesome! They're more predictable I think.
I think an ending in favor of the NCR is probably most likely on the west coast since that's the direction west-coast fallout has been moving in. But like the minute-men, I'm not completely sure it is the best jumping board for a story. I think they might water down the Mojave like they probably have done to California. A House or Courier-ruled Vegas would save Vegas an interesting, unique place, but the chaos from from a Legion victory followed shortly by a collapse after Caesar's death from illness would lead to even more potential apocalyptic adventure.
we can't have the wasteland get too civilized, after all. ;) And that means some factions like the Minutemen are probably not best for the long term story potential.

an interesting lore-chat.

it reminds me of those ye-olde Fallout Bible thread lore chats,

and Chris Avellone exegetical forum stuff.

I prefer the ending for FO4 where;

by 2300,

the Good Institute, the Minutemen, Railroad, BoS and Independents

form the Boston Accord Authority, a detente treaty.

in time, they coalesce with the NCR and CFU (central farmers union) to become effectively

3 mega-states in a new US of A.

All citizens of V111 & V112 survive, Stanislaus Octavius Braun is made to stand trial,

after "The People vs Vault-Tec Inc"

and serves an indefinite sentence in the CIT under continuous BoS supervision.

Mr House reunites with Emogene Cabot.

A Person/ or ZAX named Zefram completes an experiment in supraluminal shtuff at Malmstrom...

I am pretty sure we'll eventually see more of the Fallout Multiverse/universe

explored. I am definitely looking forward to Fallout South America, Fallout Asia, Fallout Europe etc,

and hopefully a "1:1 Fallout Universe" (think "No|Beings|Sky", but fallout-ier).

Places other than CONUS exist within the Fallout universe,

it's just most of the action focused on CONUS for the early part of the series.

I agree that the Minutemen ending is definitely the least interesting, but I do find it the most likely. I'd personally like to see the current version of the Brotherhood continue to grow into a villainous faction within the next game or two, but that's not going to go over well with the average fan, so I doubt it'll happen. Personally, I rather like how victory over the Enclave eventually turned them into the Enclave. Power corrupts and all that.
