PrivateJoker
Hello! I have created a companion following the Advanced Companion Creation Guide. However when I first approach my companion he opens with hello and my only alternatives to answer is Wait here and Lets get going. The option to hire him doesnt show. He is supposed to be an african american, his head in the GECK shows up as an african american but ingame he is albino white. Tried to change the file to ESM with no luck. Do i need to change the file to esm, reopen it in the GECK to make it work? Thank you for your time and answers! Edit; He is now black. Needed to start the game from another save file. Quetzlsacatanango
If "Let's get going" is not the hire topic, what should he be saying instead? If you are sure the topic is not showing up, make sure the 'top level' box is ticked, then it will always show up right after the greeting. PrivateJoker
the two options available to say at the beginning is Wait here and I need to get going. If I say Wait here he answers sure as stated in the quest topics and I can never say anything but I need to get going from this point on. Is this a scripting error ? I have no former scripting knowledge and just put in what the tutorial said plain and easy. Must have been a transition error between the tutorial and my fingers. PrivateJoker
Would you look at that, QUETZ, just because you replied to this topic I rechecked the follower mod instead of giving up on it, and it just so happened to be that I found the error. Under the Topic HIRED I missed setting the CONDITION to GETQUESTVARIABLE instead of GETSCRIPTVARIABLE! HE now is hireable and has the companion wheel. Thank you very much mr QUETZ! :)
