Power armor.

I have another set of Power armor but this is basically a shell and power armor legs. I have the rest of it and brought everything back to my "Workshop". Still, I am unable to put the pieces back on. I know I have done this earlier or at least rebuilt some armor I got from the Museum of Freedom. Any tips, trick to help me with this?

Right, which I have done. ( more background) I am using Red rockets as my shop. I haven't connected it to the rest of the settlements. ( no idea why, seems very right story wise to have a get away. ) I have tried to craft with the pieces in my personal inventory, in the stations inventory (red bench's inventory) and the power armors inventory. I will try again when I get home this evening and move it to different inventories and post my results.

You need to place the pieces into the power armor inventory, and the pieces should be automatically mounted on the frame, unless the pieces are at 0 durability. It appears that you have already tried this, so I'm not sure why it's not working.

Thank you. Let's say they aren't there.. shouldn't I be given the option to build a new one? I was given that option after my fight in concord. I will try it when I get home, maybe I just hit a glitch.

Those are power armor mods, not armor pieces. You need to interact with the power armor station, modify the armor pieces from the menu to attach the mods. The mod itself must match the armor piece in order to be attached.

Case in point, a T-60 mod won't fit a T-45 armor piece. A leg mod won't fit on an arm piece, and so on and so forth.

Well, good thing I don't have a lot of pride when it comes to this. LOL. *sigh* I must have left those armor pieces lying around somewhere. I swear, I am smart person but I can't believed how stupid I am sounding. Thank you for your help and I will know better then trying to dismantle it.

Well, .....Off to ask more stupid questions.
