Skinjack
I need some help with this issue. When I create a weapon, it's top is always facing towards you in the preview image. I have been adjusting its BSInvMarker to turn it, but I'm having no luck. For example, the first model's original X,Y,Z is 4712, 6283, 0. I've been adjusting its Y axis to things like 0, 900 (100 = 10 degrees in nifskope according to the wiki), but nothing is working. I've run LOOT, Wrye Bash, and FNIS after each change, but no luck. Am I adjusting the right axis? Or even the right property? Sorry for the bother. This is not an American program, so it really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I only know enough about nifskope to get an item in-game and haven't explored it more than that. I've got a lot of weapons to fix (70+) and have been putting fixing this off for a while. Any help with this would be sincerely appreciated.
Skinjack
OK, my bad for not reading the wiki as thoroughly as I should have. Apparently I missed a setting so it wasn't updating correctly. Everything seems to be working now, I just need to get the numbers "right".
Skinjack
Sorry to revisit an old thread, but I'm having issues with these preview images at the forge again and I'm at a lost for what is causing the issue. I recently merged a number of my weapon mods using the Merge Plugin tool. All of the original mods worked fine, had correct preview images etc. I had even taken some pictures at the forge, so they worked. For a while. After merging, a handful of the items turned towards you in the forge preview image. Even worse, when I went back to the original mods, those were now turned as well. I've tried adjusting them (x,y,&z) to no avail. The image just won't change from pointing at you. I've tried all the methods I could think of or find that might fix this, i.e. consoling "pcb", adjusting the numbers, re-importing the BSInvMarker into the nif, etc. The latter method worked once, but not after that. I can only conclude that something is somehow "cacheing" in the system or memory, but I have no idea how to clear those on a PC/laptop. I don't even know that you can, from my searches online. Why is this doing this after I merge the plugins? It's something I have constantly needed to revisit. Should I be looking for a bug issue in the standalone Merge Plugins? My mod manager (NMM)? Is there a way to fix it? It's really annoying me, especially when I am so close to finishing these mods and releasing them. Any help with this is severely appreciated, because I like to keep my sanity levels where they're at. EDIT: I guess I'd better mention this. I've tried the save game tool to clean my game, and this is a vanilla testing setup on a laptop. The only thing in it is my weapon mods I am merging and they are simple, non-script items with meshes/textures folders and an esp.
