gript0n
After getting bored of playing on console, I decided it was PC time, mainly for the mods. On my first play-through though I appear to have a problem with lighting/shadows. It sort of speaks for itself, with a little help from captions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywthRSZ948k Happens with/without mods and on any graphics settings. I have done a clean install of the game, and also have the latest ATI Drivers. I have run more spec demanding games without problem, and searched around for days. Any ideas? :wallbash: Running on:OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bitProcessor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHzMemory: 8192MB RAMGFX Card: ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 Thanks. shotgun188
Your GFX card is ancient, how do you even run Skyrim?
gript0n
That's rough. It's a decent enough (if not old) card that I have ran Crysis/Call of Duty's on comfortably, and can run Skyrim on med-high settings with little 'lag' I just don't get the lighting issues. Surely if it was my card being past it' that was the issue, I'd be seeing more problems than this?

gript0n
If you look here it is in the medium/high column. I feel there has been a slight miscommunication here. Perhaps it looked like I had a different card than the HD3870X2? I know this is 'unofficial', but trust me, it runs the game fine (lighting problem aside). fms1
I got other graphics problems with the last CCC update, I rolled back my video card driver to the previous ver. and it works fine (I'm still on patch 1.4.21).
maym_001
I'm getting this problem too. It's driving me crazy. Has anyone found a fix yet? I'm running Vista 64-bit, i3 3.1ghz, 3 gigs of RAM, GeForce 8800GT. Yes, I know it's old, but I'm running Skyrim fine on low-medium apart from this shadow stuff and water being transparent, getting smooth fps. TheCaptainQ
I have that same problem and it makes running through forests MURDER. I've tried everything and the thing about it is that I think the newest patch is what did it because it didn't do anything like that before that patch... How do I reverse patch? please help. http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/5531/screenshot4io.jpghttp://img684.imageshack.us/img684/7620/screenshot7zm.jpg Edited April 15, 2012 by TheCaptainQ
