gorlak
I recently installed some Plug-ins to Oblivion and i noticed for one of those Plug-ins a majority of the icons are jsut multicolored sqaures, even afew items from the game, like breeches and clogs icons are like this as well, :wallbash: i can seem to find a way to fix the problem, i thought maybe changing the color settings, but i doubt that will fix it, any help would be great, Thanks
jaysus
the mod prolly overwrote the vanilla icons of breeches and clogs whilst using a wrong data format or having normal maps or mipmaps or somin... thats my guess...uninstall the mod and also make sure you delete the mods files from "data/textures/menus/icons/whatever the mod installed" then try again the very unlikely possibility of your gfx card going crazy could also be possible but is as i said thats highly unlikely
DirTek
wrong data format or having normal maps or mipmaps or somin... I don't think it's about the mipmaps...normally the CS warns you when the icons have mipmaps...think you should try to unistall all your mods. If it doesn't work...try updating your video drivers and maybe make a clean reinstall of Oblivion Cheers  Maafiaman
bben46
It's possible the author did not make a icon for those items. Check in the topic dedicated to that mod to see if there is anything there. If you can't find the topic, let us know what the mod is and we can give you a link.
HouseAtlantic
In the options menu in-game under "video" i think, lets you change the texture size, this applies to even icons and you should use the setting Large, maybe that's the problem

All of the other weapons show an icon on-screen, but not this mace (I get a square). Did Bethesda just not create one for it?
gorlak
i figured it out, after re installing the mod, i tested it and it still didnt work, after that I checked the DDS files in photoshop using the nvidia plug-in, i had to replace each file becaue mipmaps, i had to do this about 900 times but its all good now, if i want to fix the breechers and the cogs i guess i will have to unpack the .bsa file and do the same .
