m5lites
Hello this is my first time modding new vegas. Everything works great except for the fact that the game only starts in my native res(1440p). I need to play the game in 720p. I use mod organizer and bethini. I tried setting my ini resolution through bethini and manually, neither worked. Is there any way to force this game to start at a lower res? (Yes I changed my mod organizer ini)
m5lites
I have also tried both windowed and fullscreen modes
Surilindur
If you use Mod Organizer, your game ini files will be located in the MO profile folder. Inside your MO folder, there should be a "profiles" folder and inside it all your MO profiles in their own folder. Within the folder of your currently active MO profile you have the game ini files if everything has been setup correctly, and you can edit those files. The ones in your Windows user document folders will not be used with MO. Hopefully that helps a bit, if not, then hopefully someone else knows more. Edit: Disregard that, I failed to read to the end. Odd. Hmmmmmm and you are not forcing fullscreen from ENB or anything else, either? Does windowed mode turn it to windowed mode? Edited March 11, 2018 by Contrathetix
m5lites
Im not using any ENB, just other visual enhancements. Not sure what you meant by that last question. Gonna go to sleep and try in the morning
dubiousintent
In the "FalloutPrefs.ini" file (in your "C:\Users\<AccountName>\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV" folder), under the "[Display]" section, set the following:iSize W=1280iSize H=720 That is assuming a 16:9 aspect ratio. A 4:3 ratio would be 960×720. Giving only partial information such as one dimension can cause errors. It's like saying "I was traveling at 100". The difference between "100 MPH" and "100 KPH" is a speeding ticket. -Dubious-
m5lites
Dude I use mod organizer. And my both set of prefs are set to 720. No one plays 720 4:

m5lites
Could there be a mod I installed forcing the game into native res?

Surilindur
Ah, great to hear you got it fixed. What I meant was that, since you had issues changing resolution, it would be worth testing whether any ini edits actually have an effect. Anyway, since you fixed it, it might be useful to others if you could document the solution briefly, as well, I think, in case someone else stumbles upon the thread after a couple of years.
