Senyn
Hello, I am a bit new to CK so I started easy - I created a small cave for experimenting, and now I want to put stuff like potions, food, misc on tables and shelves. However, most of the items fall off the shelf when I test the mod in game. In Creation Kit, items look placed correctly (not intersecting with other objects and not in the air). When I use the Havok feature in CK, they start falling again, so my question: is there a good way to place clutter on furniture without having these issues? Some items fall, some don't - what's the difference? thanks
Fivedorrah
While in the CK , double click your clutter item(or right click and "Edit" and you'll see a check box in the lower right corner "Don't havoc settle" tick that for each piece. And when placing items on the floor ground/tables, raise the item abit above the surface and press " f ". I'm fairly new too, Hope this helps Fivedorrah

If it's partly in the floor, it will keep dropping until it hits anything below that. It that happens, hit "CTR-z" to undo and re-position the item a little higher and try "f" again. Jadak
If you just turn on the havok simulation in the CK (Alt-H) the items will fall and settle according to physics just like they would in the game. If you do this in the CK and wait for them to settle naturally, they usually don't bounce around at random. The main cause of this is actually that dropping them down with the 'f' key sometimes puts them just a bit too low, so it's actually slightly inside the table/shelf/floor/whatever. Then as soon as you load it in game, havok detects the collision between the two and the clutter item 'bounces' off and ends up flying across the room. You can stop this by setting the flag, but then as soon as the player touches it at all, even just bumping into it, it will go back to havok rules. Raising the item slightly above the surface and turning on havok to let it fall naturally works best for me, and if the player bumps it while walking past it will usually just wbble a little, not launch itself across the room.
