Finalcord
A lot of Skyrim's firearm mods basically have re-textured staffs with fireball enchantments. We all know that guns don't work that way, so I have a few ideas on a good gun mod. Guns will fire like bows. You hold down Attack to prime the gun, hold block while primed to aim (with the right perk), and you release Attack to fire. Gun stats and perks will be taken from the Archery skill tree. There would be two new perks. The first would be Gunsmith, which would require 85-90 skill in blacksmithing and would branch off of Dwarven smithing (Since the Dwarves were engineers)Gunsmith would allow you to make 3 Flintlock firearms; The Flintlock pistol (Low accuracy, material cost), The Flintlock Musket (Medium accuracy, medium material cost), and the Flintlock Rifle (High accuracy, high material cost). You can smith the guns and Musket balls out of Iron/Steel at a forge, and make gunpowder out of Fire Salts and Charcoal at Alchemy Tables. Musket balls may be recovered from shot corpses like arrows. The Second perk will be Dwarven Marksmanship, which will require maximum smithing skill and will branch off of the Gunsmith perk. This perk will let you make 4 Dwarven Guns, The Dwarven Pistol (Improves on Flintlock Pistol), The Dwarven Rifle (Improves on Flintlock Musket), The Dwarven Sharpshooter (Improves on Flintlock Rifle, has a scope w/diamond lenses), and the Dwarven Repeater (Fires multiple shots before reloading, highest material cost).Dwarven guns will have loading mechanisms and use a cartridge system, so they will have a much faster reload speed. However, these guns will require more expensive materials, and use some small Dwarven parts (Dwarven levers, gyros, etc.). Bullets cannot be recovered from corpses like bullets or musket balls. If anyone here is capable of making this, I will help as much as I can, though that may not be much. Thank you for listening.
