Number of Races

I have been dl a some race mods and "installing" them into the game... but the problem is that some races didn't appears in the game list to select them... I really don't if this question must be here or not but please help me with this litter problem.

I don't know If I can help you, but I'll try.

 

Did any of the downloaded races work? If so you might have just installed the missing ones wrong.

 

Did you check the box in the data files menu before you loaded oblivion for the missing races?

 

This is all I can think of. Hopefully a few of the more knowledgeable people will show up and help.

I got the unofficial patch Shivering Isles... I don't what this patch really do so someone give me some light

I can't really tell what is wrong. Do you use the Oblivion Mod Manager? If so your load order may be bad. If you don't use it I advise you downloading it. It fixed many problems I used to have.

I re-install Oblivion and updated to the last version and after that i start to put some mods but now after i install some mods i decide to see if they worked but now the game don't load at all. Now i really don't know what is going on.

First off, do you have Shivering Isles or just normal Oblivion?

If you have Shivering Isles, did you use the Shivering Isle patch or the normal Oblivion patch? I know this doesn't seem like much, but using the wrong patch can muck up your game.

 

Second, can you name all the mods you are trying to run? I think part of the problem is one of your mods is messing with the game. If I know what your running I can see what might be conflicting.

 

Third, did you download the Oblivion Mod Manager? If you did, it can tell you what is conflicting and help you adjust how your mods load so the game can run smoother. (once it gets running again.)

 

Lastly, When is it crashing? Does it crash at the title screen or does it not run at all?

 

I know this seems like a lot, but telling me this stuff can help solve your problem.

i have the last Oblivion Mod Manager

 

When i try to open the game when it start to present the letters company of Bethesda Softworks it crashes.... or it don't even open the game at all. It only happens with the mods "on"

I just found the situation that sounded like yours. bben46 gave this solution for that situation.

 

CTDs can be caused by many things, A CTD on start up can be caused by trying to run a mod that requires OBSE without loading it first, or a mod that requires the latest patch without it. Or trying to run a mod that requires another mod to be present to work.

 

I think it is the OBSE thing. If it isn't just click the quote linky thing (that blasted pink arrow) and read his whole post.
