OK.

Just found out how to do this trick ... exploit ... whatever ... And I think it is soooooooooo funny. Why would you want to fix it. If you don't wat to make use of this exploit then just don't use it. Hehehe.

I know its funny, but its just TOO tempting sometimes.

It might not be possible to fix it and still keep the stealth plausible as an option. The reason they can't see through the bucket is because any mesh is supposed to block their view, if I recall correctly. Changing that would probably mean rewriting the entire stealth system, if it's possible at all. Maybe if a mod just made it so that you can't pick up buckets and cauldrons or something? That might work. Edited by Rennn

You could have a reaction script that makes an actor remove anything that is not a helmet. The script would have a repeat loop every second so if something is placed on their head they take it off.

I'm not sure you know, but we're not talking about equipment. Sorry if you knew that though, and if I just misunderstood.

We're talking about when you physically pick up a bucket and place it over an NPC's head, blocking their face. I don't think they can remove something like that.

I know, dude. What I mean is that if something is put on them they would react in a normal way. You could script it that if anything is put on them they would react to that particular item (bucket, pot, anything) as any normal person would. I know if a bucket was placed on my head I would take it off. Same thing for any actor in the game.

Maybe just make it so that you can't put peoples heads inside the bucket?

That would be a realism fail, and besides, there are easier things to do. Just have them periodically say something like this:

"So, you like playing games then?"

"Boo. Scared ya. Hahaha"

"Who turned out the lights?"

And other such phrases. It would be easy for someone who can script to make actors say this when the lights go out for them and they are still lit.
