1st Person Bug

I've just started playing oblivion again, and have installed several body/ race mods. Just today though, i ran into a bug in first person perspective. It seems my character is too tall, even as a wood elf i have to look down at all people. 3rd person is fine, but 1st person seems messed up. i didnt notice it until i installed chocolate elves, ahtata orc, dairanath companion, and wolven anthros. I have HGEC body as well as slofs better bodys but i didn't notice the bug until after i installed the prior mods. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chances are you installed some custom skeletons with or for the Wolven Anthros, which now aren't fitting the rest of your mod setup, something like Deadly Reflex or Unneccessary Violence I assume.

What you're describing is a skeleton issue, so this could be what it was caused by. Make sure your 1st person skeleton file is the one those mods with custom 1st person animations, or even "fake" 1st person modes or something, require or this will happen.

For the Wolven Anthros themselves, V5 beta that is, it shouldn't be neccessary to be using any custom skeletons anyways, so just reinstall the ones said mods require or request help in those mods' comments, as this is a known issue with said mods and accidentally replaced skeleton files.

I've manually reinstalled all my body and race mods, which doesnt fix the problem. Recently i've installed growlfs body resizing mod which changes the skeleton.nif could this be the cause of the problem?

Body or race mods usually don't contain any skeleton replacements, apart from custom races which require their own custom bones, my dragons being a prime example but not the only one. So reinstalling something which doesn't have skeleton files of course can't fix a skeleton file issue.

Growlf's Universal Skeleton on the other hand is only skeleton files, and installing this over another custom skeleton replacement which isn't yet included in it, the 1st person skeleton from Deadly Reflex, Unneccesary Violence, Immersive 1st Person, 3rd Person Animations In 1st Person View or any other Loup Sombre skeleton based mods, being prime examples for this, will screw those mods up, which have replaced some 1st person animations so they only work with their own custom 1st person skeletons anymore, now when used with others screw up your vision.

You need to figure out which mod requires its custom 1st person skeleton, so its animations won't screw up your vision, and reinstall this one. The camera being too high above ground is a known issue of at least two of those, if I remember correctly, as they more or less all use the same approach. Finding out the culprit shouldn't be too difficult when you skim through their discussion threads and download comments.

Or simply give us a list of the mods in your installation and maybe someone will spot the culprit and tell you what to do to fix it. Although it most likely only sums up to reinstalling the 1st person skeleton you're now missing in the end. But you need to know which one that is first, of course.
