raatorotta Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I got idea of making retextured vanilla armor. I just don't know what armor mesh to choose. It should be normal pants and normal longsleeved shirt part with not any kind of reliefs on surface. Is there such option in vanilla armors and clothes? I have some replacing armor mods installed so i don't remember all vanilla meshes.
Perraine Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I'd probably suggest looking at the farmer/merchant clothing meshes or, for really basic, the beggar/prisoner ones

I tried Dark brotherhood armor, but female version has that annoying belt thing across the chest. Male darkbrotherhood armor is anyway almost what I'm looking for. Made first version of armor too. Whenever i find better female mesh and make it work, i release mod.
Perraine Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 In most cases the belt is either simply drawn onto the texture and given depth with the normal map or it a separate piece on the UV map, which means simply deleting the corresponding part of the texture will remove the belt from view (provided you add an AlphaProperty to the .nif file)
